This Privacy Policy covers A Burren Light at aburrenlight.ie and Discover the Burren at discovertheburren.com. Both websites are operated by Olivier Dujardin, trading as A Burren Light. You can contact us about your personal information at info@aburrenlight.ie.

DISCOVER THE BURREN

Discover the Burren is a photography and discovery website. It does not use cookies. It does not provide customer accounts, a shopping basket or a checkout.

When you submit a search or follow a place link, you are taken to A Burren Light, where your search is processed and the photographs are displayed. Links to collections and purchases also take you to A Burren Light. The information below about the A Burren Light website, including its use of cookies and its handling of orders, applies when you use those services.

Even without cookies, loading a page involves sending technical information, including your IP address and browser details, to the servers delivering it. Discover the Burren loads photographs and other website files from A Burren Light and fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to these services to display the page. Our hosting services may record technical information in server logs to deliver the website, diagnose problems and protect it against misuse. This is separate from cookies and is used for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the website.

A BURREN LIGHT WEBSITE AND SHOP

In the sections below, “the Site” means aburrenlight.ie. The descriptions of shop activity, cookies, analytics and payment services relate to A Burren Light, rather than to browsing Discover the Burren. The contact details and your data protection rights apply to both websites.

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

We do not use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications.

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. DATA RETENTION

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

CHANGES

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
